Server Migration
Move your server and data to an optimised home
Moving your server allows us a chance to fully optimize the entire stack on which your application is running. Every piece of your hosting infrastructure will be examined - from the network characteristics to the web server configuration. Your new system will run faster and capable of handling heavier traffic more reliably. All this can be done without interrupting your current operation.
Evaluating a Hosting Provider
As a software company we do not offer hosting. However, we work closely with a few providers. These providers are constantly evaluated by us and our partners. Only the most suitable providers are recommended to our clients. From time to time, better hosting options emerge, and we often migrate to the new providers free of charge.
The quality of a hosting provider is assessed by several key aspects. The first area we look at is the properties that are owned by the provider, both in terms of physical space as well as Internet assets.
IP address space measures the operating scale and growth trend of a hosting provider. Some companies have large chunks of addresses assigned, some have access to just a fraction of the IP spaces. As a provider outgrows its allocated space, it purchases blocks from other networks, for better or worse quality. The following diagram is a portion of an IP allocation chart that we maintain to fingerprint the hosting companies we work with:

The next aspect we examine is Network Peering. A serious network provider should have its own Autonomous System designation, or an AS Number. This number helps identify the backbone networks the provider is peered with. The degree of peering measures the level of redundancy. The following diagram shows 2 of the 4 major backbones our network is peered with:
